My standard rate is .03/square inch. This means for a 55"x60" quilt, the charge would be $99 (55x60x$.03=$99). I have a minimum charge of $50 per quilt/item.

This rate includes thread used and trimming your finished quilt, if desired. I return the excess fabric/batting with your finished quilt if desired.

Batting

I personally recommend Quilters Dream and Warm & Natural Battings. I am currently building up my inventory for your convenience and will update this site with inventory and pricing accordingly.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

Of course, if you prefer, you can provide your own batting.

I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen (90" wide) rolls of batting except in the case of special orders.  I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.

Thread

I typically stock both Glide (40# wt.) and Mettler Seracor (50# wt.) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread used, it's included in your square inch price. If you have a different preference, let me know and I will research availability. Specialty threads will be an additional charge.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Thread color is a personal choice!

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Maple Hill, North Carolina, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in a sealed plastic bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS service indicated on your booking form. Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your booking form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service though I don't require it.

Payment

I will keep you apprised as to the status of your quilt top via email or text (your preference) and include photos of the process. After the work is complete, I will email your invoice. I currently accept Venmo and check. I  appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
